October 11-15 is national Earth Science Week and the geologists are celebrating with two events.
On Wednesday, October 13, from noon-5:00 p.m., we’ll celebrate National Fossil Day. Students, faculty, staff, families, and community members are invited to visit Nobel Hall (first floor and south lawn) for activities, museum tours, and free fossils. Participants are invited to bring a mystery rock or fossil and the geologists will help you identify it!
On Thursday, October 14, from 12:30-1:20 p.m., Gustavus Geology students will give short presentations about their summer geological experiences. Students are invited to come hear how geology students can spend their summers digging up dinosaurs, camping, and doing research. Join us in NHS 125 for this event.
