This week, :Lee Petersen (Geology ’68) and Ginny Petersen (’67 Biology) were back at Gustavus. After graduation, Lee earned his MS and PhD at Arizona State, then joined the oil and gas industry. Lee has worked at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation as an exploration advisor for 34 years. On Tuesday, Lee gave an inspiring talk to Geology students and faculty about “The Art of Oil and Gas Exploration”, in which he taught us “Petersen’s Five Rules of Engagement for Oil and Gas Exploration”. He also gave a career talk on Wednesday and met with students, faculty and emeritus faculty for lots of good conversation and consultation.
