Nobel Conference 2018: A resounding success Posted on December 11th, 2018 by

The Nobel Conference 2018 “Living Soil: A Universe Underfoot” was a tremendous success!  We had 3350 attendees including nearly 1000 high school students, and another 4000+ live-streaming the talks.  The speakers were AMAZING, and really enjoyed spending time with our students and faculty.

Soil was also celebrated through the fine arts, performing arts, music and dance (yes – an interpretative dance at Big Hill Farm!).  And, we had a vibrant “experience zone” including displays and hands-on learning spaces from the National Resource Conservation Service, the Minnesota Association of Professional Soil Scientists, the Farm Bureau, and others.

All talks can be viewed here!  THANK YOU Geology students and faculty for helping make this Nobel special.

And, get fired up for next year’s Nobel “Climate Changed: Facing Our Future”!  Students who want to get involved should email Laura.
